La saponification à froid est un procédé chimique simple qui ne demande que deux ingrédients principaux : un corps gras ainsi qu'une base (hydroxyde de sodium). L’hydroxyde de sodium (soude caustique) est nécessaire pour la réalisation de savon solide. Elle permet la réaction chimique (saponification) pour la transformation des huiles et beurres végétaux en savon. Elle disparait ensuite complètement lors de la cure de séchage du savon. ---------- Cold saponification is a simple chemical process that requires only two main ingredients: a fatty substance and a base (sodium hydroxide). Sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) is necessary for making solid soap. It allows the chemical reaction (saponification) for the transformation of vegetable oils and butters into soap. It then disappears completely during the drying cure of the soap. |
